Did you know that…

Everyone has the right to live wherever they choose as long as they qualify?

Housing providers are bound by the law to base all housing decisions – including sales, rental, financing and any other housing transactions – on objective criteria that ask for information such as Job Status, Credit Worthiness and Criminal History that is applied to all. The law prohibits decisions based on: race, color, sex, religion, national origin, familial status, handicap and elderliness.

•This is a three hour course teaching you about your legal rights & responsibilities under the Fair Housing Law
•Landlords and housing providers who complete this course are eligible for state certification by the Fair Housing Board, a requirement of all housing providers. Ignorance of law is not a defense!
