Fair Housing Certification Course (see below)
Closing Remarks by SVAA
Did you know that…
Everyone has the right to live wherever they choose as long as they qualify?
Housing providers are bound by the law to base all housing
decisions – including sales, rental, financing and any other
housing transactions – on objective criteria that ask for
information such as Job Status, Credit Worthiness and Criminal History
that is applied to all. The law prohibits decisions based on: race, color,
sex, religion, national origin, familial status, handicap and elderliness.
About the Course
•This is a three hour course teaching you about your legal rights & responsibilities under the Fair Housing Law
•Housing providers who complete this course are eligible for state certification by the Fair Housing Board, a requirement of all housing providers. Ignorance of law is not a defense!
•Who should take this class? Landlords, property managers, leasing consultants, owners of manufactured housing, real estate agents & brokers, the general public…anyone who sells, leases, owns, or manages residential property.
